M4A3E8 76mm/105mm (Late turret)
This kit comes with optional parts to build either the 76mm or 105mm Close Support Variant.
A total of 1445 of these "Easy Eight" 76mm versions were built from August 1944 and saw action in the ETO and in the Pacific campaign. This version has the late T23 turret and the M1A1C 76mm gun tube with muzzle brake.
A total of 3984 of the M4A3E8 hulls were built with a number being produced as the 105mm Howitzer type seeing action on all fronts in WWII and later in the Korean War.
The "Easy Eight" was immortalised in the 2014 film Fury staring Brad Pitt.
