76.2mm M1936 Field Gun
The Soviet Union lost almost 50% of their field guns in the first six months of WWII. Amongst them were large numbers of this fine weapon which resulted in the Germans' adopting it as the FK296(r)(see G78) even mounting them on some of their Marders (see G77 & G225) and on the famous "Diana" halftracks (BG57) that fought in North Africa, even producing their own ammunition for them. In Soviet hands they first saw action in the Winter War against the Finns in 1939, remaining in service throughout the war.
