Following the introduction of the 85mm armed IS-1 in Autumn 1943, the need for a larger calibre of gun was again requested which resulted in the D-25T 122mm gun being adopted from early 1944. All IS-1's were susequently re-armed with the 122mm gun. This tank could take on any German tank, including King Tigers, and being 25 tons lighter was much quicker. The only drawback for the IS-2 crews was the need to use two part ammunition which reduced it's fire rate significantly. This was remedied with the introduction in 1945 of the IS-3 (See BR13) although the IS-2 continued in service with some still being used during the final fall of Berlin.

Any products purchased 'second hand’, (without proof of direct Milicast Model Company supply, or supply from an Milicast Model Company approved dealer, shop or agent), or any products part assembled or part worked on in any way, are not covered by this returns policy. Under these circumstances no returns will be accepted, however we may quote for the supply of parts to restore the product to full inventory.
