StuG III Ausf. G 75mm L/48 / StuH Ausf. G 10.5cm (Mid-Prod) Zimmerit & Schürzen
This kit contains optional parts to build the mid-production variant of either the Sturmgeschütz Ausf. G 75mm L/48 or the Sturmhaubitze Ausf. G 10.5cm, both having Zimmerit & Schurzen.
The StuG III Ausf. G was the last production type of these Assault Gun/Tank Destroyers produced on the PzKpfw III chassis with 7,720 produced from December 1942 plus a further 173 converted in 1944 the Panzer III. Based on the F/8 design but with significant changes made to the roof plate including the addition of a commander's cupola, MG42, etc. This was the most widely used version seeing service on all fronts from their introduction in early 1943.
The StuH III heavy assault guns were based on the Ausf. F, F/8 and as in this model, the Ausf. G. hull. The StuH 42/StuH III Ausf. G, armed with the 10.5cm L/23 gun, was externally identical to the StuG III Ausf. G with the obvious exception of the main armament. A combined production of 1,211 were built between October 1942 and February 1945.
Our kit has a finely applied baffle pattern Zimmerit, an accurate Saukopf mantlet, optional muzzle brakes and scale-accurate shurtzen plates.
