M4A3 75mm/76mm/105mm VVSS (British Sherman IV/IVA/IVB)
This model is supplied with optional parts to build either the:
M4A3 75mm VVSS (British Sherman IV) or the
M4A3 76mm VVSS (Early) - (British Sherman IVA) or the
Sherman M4A3 105mm CS VVSS (British Sherman IVB).
A total 3071 of the late hull type M4A3 were produced from February 1944 to March 1945 by Grand Blanc.
It was the most advanced of the M4 75mm series having the 47 degree glacis plate, "wet stowage" and the late turret with all-round vision cupola and loaders hatch.
1925 of the 76mm-armed M4A3s were built. This model depicts the earlier version with VVSS and early type T23 turret with M1A1 76mm gun tube.
Of the 3071 late hull type M4A3s produced, 500 were built as the 105mm close support version. Some with HVSS saw action on all subsequent fronts.
Please Note: The .50cal MG shown in the pictures is not included with the kit, but is available separately in our US Machine Guns & AFV Mounts Accessory Set. A brass turned 75mm barrel is also available. Please see Related Products below for details.
