Chieftain ARV
The FV4204 Armoured Recovery Vehicle (Chieftain) Mk 5 was originally built from the same hull as the Chieftain Mk.5. The vehicle was designed purely for a recovery role. It was equipped with a double-capstan winch, powered by the main engine with electrohydraulic controls and 400-ft of cable. An earth spade/bulldozer blade at the front of the vehicle meant the winch could exert a pull of up to 198,410-lbs and allowed the crew to undertake recovery operations from within the vehicle using the periscopes.
This 76-part kit includes separate track sections and steel wire for tow cables.
