Valentine DD
Researching this vehicle has been difficult as different sources provide conflicting information. Wherever possible we have referred to in-period photographs.
Between 1942 and 1944, 247 Valentine DD Tanks were built. Most, if not all were conversions made to existing vehicles, many of which had already seen service and been rebuilt or upgraded. Ultimately, it was decided that the Valentine DD would not see combat, in favour of the Sherman. The Valentines were used for the training most British and US DD tank crews.
Many different marks were converted into DDs. Our model may be built as a Mk. III, V or VIII. One photograph appears to show this hull with the turret from Mk.X or XI. This may also be built from this 44-part kit.

Ultimately, the Valentine DD was side-lined in favour of the Sherman and did not see combat. Instead, they were used to train most British and US DD tank crews.
A variety of marks were converted into DDs. Our model can be built as a Mk. III, V, or VIII. One photograph suggests this hull with a turret from the Mk. X or XI, which is another option for building from this 44-part kit.
