PzKfw 38(t) Ausf. A Light Tank

This model represents the first of the famous Czech built 38(t) series. It was essentially the the BMM 37mm armed LT Vz 38, ironically turned down by the British. A total of 150 of the Ausf A variant were built, easily recognised by the "Battle Aerial" pipe located on the left side of the hull. Fifty-nine Ausf. A's saw action with the 3rd. Light Division in the invasion of Poland and fifteen were used in the Norway campaign. Subsequently they were used in every other campaign. with the exception of North Africa, until replaced by later variants.
