Bergepanther Ausf. G
Although universally referred to as the Bergepanther, the correct designation of this vehicle was the Bergepanzerwagen V (Sd.Kfz. 179). The Ausf. G was the final version entering service late in 1944. The 2cm KwK 30 cannon that was fitted to earlier variants had become obsolete during 1944 and so was omitted from the Ausf. G. The vehicle was operated by a crew of five. It's jib could lift a payload of 1.5 tonnes. However, it's 40 tonne internal winch meant it was capable of recovering the Tiger I.
Presented in 1/72 scale, this 75-part kit comes with many build options making it ideal as the centrepiece to a diorama. The kit comprises cast resin parts plus a length of cable and a length of chain.
