Morris CS9 Armoured Car (BEF/N. Africa version - Optional Parts)
Built in 1936 a total of thirty-eight of these lightly armoured vehicles served with the 12th Lancers, the only armoured car regiment with the BEF, in France. Acting as flank protection in the withdrawal to Dunkirk all remaining vehicles were either destroyed or abandoned in that action. With suitable modifications, including sand tyres, some were sent to North Africa where they served with the 11th Hussars in the Libyan campaign mostly as Troop Leaders cars or Squadron or HQ vehicles. Surprisingly they were favourably compared on soft sand to the Rolls Royces also used by the regiment.
This kit included optional parts to build either the BEF or North Africa version.
