The need to increase the numbers of the British Daimler Scout Car led to a request to Canada to also undertake production but as this would need massive re-tooling, Ford of Canada proposed they adapt their existing V-8 Engine and four wheel drive automatic components. The resultant vehicle was higher longer and wider than its Daimler Dingo equivalent! The first 335 vehicles had a different rear hull design but all other MkI's had the same design as the Mk.II. Externally the Mk.II differed by removal of the armoured roof, it being replaced with a canvas roll. The stowage rear boxes also changed and the Sand Channel was moved from the front to the rear of the vehicle. With a top speed of between 50 and 60mph they saw extensive action in Italy and NW Europe with the Canadians and in the Far East with both the British and Indian Armies. Optional parts are included so that either the Mk.I or Mk.II can be built.

All Goods remain the property of Milicast Model Company until paid for in full. Goods may only be returned by prior arrangement at the recipients' expense. Delivery and insurance charges are non-refundable. Claims for damaged/missing items should be made within seven days of receipt.
Any products purchased 'second hand’, (without proof of direct Milicast Model Company supply, or supply from an Milicast Model Company approved dealer, shop or agent), or any products part assembled or part worked on in any way, are not covered by this returns policy. Under these circumstances no returns will be accepted, however we may quote for the supply of parts to restore the product to full inventory.
