The Ammunition Trailer, M23 is a four-wheeled vehicle designed to transport a cargo of 32 rounds of 240mm, 96 rounds of 155mm or 60 rounds of 8-inch ammunition or from supply dumps to the point of use. It was typically towed by either the M6 High Speed Tractor or the Mack N0 Prime Mover. Two trailers could be towed, though it is unlikely that the Mack could tow two fully-loaded trailers. The Heavy Carriage Limber, M5 was used to support the trail in transit. However, the 7½ ton Mack did not require the use of the M5 Limber when towing the first trailer. The 155mm gun, the 8-inch howitzer and the M23 ammunition trailer could all be connected directly to the Mack thanks to a special "load sharing" hitch designed by Mack. During the Korean War, the M23 trailer was used to transport ammunition for the 155mm Gun Motor Carriage M40. Each M40 was accompanied by a single trailer towed by an M4A1 High Speed Tractor. The kit comes with an optional load of ammunition for the 240mm Howitzer (Milicast kits: US141; US142 & US143). An accessory set of 240mm ammunition is also available (ACC048).

All Goods remain the property of Milicast Model Company until paid for in full. Goods may only be returned by prior arrangement at the recipients' expense. Delivery and insurance charges are non-refundable. Claims for damaged/missing items should be made within seven days of receipt.
Any products purchased 'second hand’, (without proof of direct Milicast Model Company supply, or supply from an Milicast Model Company approved dealer, shop or agent), or any products part assembled or part worked on in any way, are not covered by this returns policy. Under these circumstances no returns will be accepted, however we may quote for the supply of parts to restore the product to full inventory.
