M10 3" SP (Mid Prod.-Bolt Hull & Duckbill Counterweights)
The M10 GMC was supplied under Lend Lease from the latter part of 1943 with a total of over 1,600 supplied. Redesignated as Achilles Mk.I (early "V" turret) and Mk.II ("Duckbill" turret type) they were however more commonly referred to as simply M10 or M10 17Pdr. They were never called "Wolverine". They saw extensive action in Italy and NW Europe with British, Canadian, South African and Polish armoured units. This model represents the mid production M10 GMC supplied under Lend Lease. Redesignated as Achilles Mk.II they are easily distinguished from the early types by the later "Duckbill" turret counterweight. This type first saw action in Normandy and later in Italy and NW Europe with British, Canadian, South African and Polish armoured units.
