British AFV Crew (Set 1)
This set of British AFV Crewmen contains seven figures - three full and four half figures, each crisply cast in resin. They are supplied unpainted though the accompanying photographs give examples of how they might be finished. One figure will require an arm to be attached. Once again, Sgt Jimmy Mapham's D-Day photographs have been the inspiration for this set. They are mainly based on photographs taken of 13/18th Hussars in the days before the landings although the man carrying a ration box is actually based on a Churchill AVRE crewman photographed on 6th June 1944. Points of note: The two characters holding mugs of tea are wearing the denim tank suit. It is identified by the pen holding slots on his left breast pocket and by having pockets on both thighs of the trousers. The tank commander half-figure with a microphone in his right hand and left hand extended is wearing slightly unusual round goggles which had smoked orange glass.
This set was designed by Dan Taylor Modelworks.
