PzKpfw IV Ausf. G (Mid Production)
Over 1700 Ausf. G were produced between May 1942 and June 1943 with 1687 seeing service as Gun Tanks and the remainder of the hulls being used for Hummels and Brummbars . This Panzer Ausf G version is a Mid-Production type produced from early 1943 with the later style Muzzle Brake, Turret and Hull modifications, plus additions reflecting combat experience, especially the additional armour plates on the hull. They saw service in Russia and the Balkans.
