SPGs

Based on the combination of a Czech 47mm anti-tank gun and the modified hull of the Panzer I Ausf B, 202 of these SPG's entered service in 1940. They subsequently saw action on all fronts, including North Africa, remaining in service in Russia until late 1943. Two types were seen, and this model represents the more numerous earlier type with a total of 132 built, first seeing action in the Low Countries. The remainder had the later extended upper superstructure and both types were deployed in the invasions of the Balkans and Russia. In North Africa, photographic evidence suggests that only the later type was deployed there.

This model depicts the widened and extended chassis version of the Panzer II so built to accept the 150mm Sig33 Howitzer. The 12 vehicles built were sent to North Africa with the DAK and took part in the battle of Gazala and in all subsequent offences until the last one was destroyed in early 1943. Our model is very comprehensive with engine cover hatches positioned opened as the vehicles suffered from chronic over heating and always had these open when in operational use.

A total of 201 of these SPGs are recorded as being converted in 1942/3 and consisted of the mounting of the captured Russian 76.2mm gun onto the chassis of the failed "Flamingo" Flammpanzer, itself a conversion on the Panzer II Ausf. D. A successful tank hunter it was used mostly in Russia. As seen in the photographs, the barrel is reinforced with a full-length metal rod for sturdiness.

A total of 90 of these heavy infantry support vehicles armed with the siG33 150mm Howitzers were produced in early 1943 and saw service Russia, Tunisia, Italy and France. Still in service at the time of the Normandy landings, they fought with 2nd. Panzer Division through-out the campaign. This model consists of just 10 parts:- Hull assembly, Gun Shield, 150mm Gun, Gun Sight, Elevation Wheels (2), Gun Travel Stay, Notek Lamp & Radio Cover & Aerial mount. See line indicators.

This 75mm PaK40 SPG was based on the captured chassis of the Hotchkiss H39 Light Tank, with a total of only 24 being so converted. They saw extensive action with the 21st. Panzer Division in Normandy. This highly detailed accurate scale model even has the fine wire mesh, attatched to the gun shield for the addition of foliage, superbly replicated.

This 105mm SPG was based on the captured chassis of the Hotchkiss H39 (BF04) with a total of 48 being so converted. They saw extensive action in Normandy with the 21st. Panzer Division.

Based on the prodigious Czech 38(t) chassis, these small but very effective 75mm armed Tank Destroyers, started to see service from July 1944 onwards with a massive total of 2584 being built. They were used on all fronts. Our 7 piece model faithfully reproduces the earliest production type which can be easily distinguished from the later type (See BG47) by the different exhaust, rear idlers and gun mantlet.

This 7 piece model faithfully reproduces the late production type which can be easily distinguished from the earlier type (See BG46) by the different exhaust, rear idlers and gun mantlet.

This Flamethrower version was designed on the earlier style hull of the Hetzer with the removal of the 75mm gun and replaced with 14mm Flammwerfer 41. Located in the gun housing with a covered funnel shaped gun tube, the flame gunner looked through the visor that was fitted on top of the mantlet. In total 20 were used in December 1944 for the Ardennes offensive, the so called Battle of the Bulge.
