Austin K5 3ton GS Truck with wooden GS body.

The Austin K5 4x4 3ton GS Truck was powered by Austin's 4ltr. petrol engine and was produced from 1941 until 1945 with over 12,000 supplied to the British Army.Some had wooden bodies as depicted by this model. Seeing service in every wartime theatre and later with postwar allies it was affectionately known as the "Screamer" due to the high pitch noise from the transfer box.
