30 x British Pattern "Jerrycans" (Late War Fuel Cans)

This set consists of thirty five gallon British fuel cans which although larger and not a direct copy of the German "Jerrycan", it was however clearly infuenced by the superb German design. These became available in 1944 and adorned, along with the earlier pattern "Flimsies" (ACC.04), all types of British AFV's. The difference in size between the British and American five Gallon Fuel Cans derived from the fact that a US pint is 16 fluid ounces but a British pint was 20 fluid ounces.
