Details:
The BT series was developed from the American Christie
M-1931 Tank purchased from the USA. By 1935 this 45mm
armed version was produced with an outstanding cross
country speed of 39mph. This was for the time an excellent
design.
They first
saw action in the Spanish Civil War and later in 1939
against the Japanese in Manchuria and the Russo-Finnish
war. Later they took part in the partition of Poland
and the Great Patriotic War by which time they were
obsolete but continued inservice for another year or
