The need for a combination of both Field and Anti-tank
gun was realized in this superb design. Introduced in
1943 it was manufactured in greater numbers than any
other artillery piece in WWII and remained in service
with Soviet Bloc countries for many years after WWII
seeing action in Korea, Vietnam, the Six Day War, etc.,
