This model
represents the WWII operational, earliest production
type of the JS3 Heavy Tank.
First seen
in the West when they appeared in the 1945 Allied Victory
Parade in Berlin, some Russian sources claim they participated
in the Battle of Berlin. This has however never been
corrorborated, but they did see action in WWII during
the destruction of the Japanese Kwantung Army in occupied
Manchuria in 1945.
Our
model is very complete and beautifully reproduces the
rough cast surfaces and the heavy sag on the tracks.
It includes a finely detailed 7.92mm MG and two unditching
logs.
