Details:
After the first A7V's entered service it was found
that the side plates were buckling and so they were
removed, cut into five sections and bolted back one.
Amongst these
five plated types was "Elfride", which took
part in the first ever tank vs tank when on the 25th.
of April 1918, three A7V's attacked several British
Whippet fast tanks (see WW1-3). However "Elfride"
was disabled and captured.
Another 5
plate version was "Heiland" and a full set
of decals for both of these tanks is included in our
kit. |
