| Details: Based on the chassis of
the Ausf. D chassis, a total of 155 of these Flame-Thrower
Tanks were built or converted between 1940 and 1941. First
seeing combat in June of that year in Russia, their limited
success and high caualty rate led them to be withdrawn
in 1942 and the hulls converted into the 7.62cm PaK(r)(Sf),
commonly referred to as the Marder II.(G225) |
