As the "E" at the end
of the nomenclature
indicates, these Heavy Field cars were based on captured
British vehicles.
Following
the evacuation of Greece, then Crete, many British vehicles
and equipment fell into the hands of the German Army.
A number
of CMP 's with No.12 cabs, were converted in Athens
with Kfz.15 bodies. Later these vehicles were used in
the Balkans and Russia.
