Details:
Only two of these "Fat Max" heavy SP's were
built by Krupp who initially designed them for the purposes
of destroying heavily fortified bunkers and as such
were allocated to the 521st Panzerjager Detatchment
for the proposed invasion of Gibralter.
But as requirements
changed they were instead attatched to the 3rd. Panzer
Division in Russia and used against Soviet armour where
they were said to have attained considerable success.
One was destroyed in action and the remaining vehicle
returned to Germany in October 1941.
