Details:
Mk.III's, Churchill OKE Flamethowers and some Mk.I/ICS/II's
(UK83) took part in the attack on Dieppe in August 1942.
This model depicts the Mk.III with the sponson changes,
etc., including modified exhaust and Deep Wading Trunking.
These tanks differ substantially from the original design
(UK56).
OK!......so
we are only human! The model below has late pattern
tracks where as the Churchills that took part in the
Dieppe raid still had the early pattern tracks.
All of our stock was quickly replaced with the correct
track but not before the illustrated model was built
and painted.....it was just to good to waste! The bottom
2 photographs are of the early style tracks now supplied
in the kit. |
