Details:
The final production model of the Ram had the earlier
side doors and the hull M.G. turret eliminated and replaced
the short 6pdr. Gun with the long barrelled version.
No Rams were used as Gun Tanks in WWII but this version
did see action in the Normandy campaign as Command and
AOP Tanks.
Some Ram Mk.II converted by the addition of Wasp II
flamethrower (UK32)
equipment and saw action in Holland with the 5th Canadian
Armoured Brigade.
