Details:
This model represents the Canadian flamethrower tank
converted from the Ram Kangaroo by the addition the
Wasp II flamethrower equipment. In this type the turret
aperture was plated over and the small M.G. cupola,
previously used on the Ram Mk.I Tank, was added.
First used
in February 1945 by the Canadian 4th Armoured Brigade
during Operation Veritable, they remained in service
until the end of hostilities.
Ram Bagers
were also used by the 5th Canadian Armd. Brigade in
Holland in March 1945 but these vehicles were converted
from the Ram II Tank and retained their turrets although
still using the bow flame gun. |
