| Details:
This model depicts
the Canadian built 25pdr. Sexton based on the Ram chassis.
Initial production started in 1943 with 424 being completed
that year with a total production of 2,150 before the
end of hostilities.
The first 124
were designated as Sexton I when the later version appeared
(See UK07).
This model is of this later production series and is
easily identifiable by the one piece differential housing,
late VVSS trackwor position change. Sexton I saw action
together with Sexton II as artillery support for the
armoured divisions. Their operational debut was in Normandy
were they gradually replaced the M7 Priest in Field
Artillery Regiments at 4 per troop.
A very comprehensive
parts list/instruction leaflet with exploded views is
supplied to aid location and construction of this precise
model.
