Approximately 600 hundred
of these Landing Craft were built in the UK between
1940 and 1944 and resultantly participated in the numerous
aphibious landings that included Norway, Dieppe, Operation
Torch, Sicily, Salerno and Anzio finally culminating
in the Normandy landings.
Their earliest
use was however in the combined Allied attack on Norway
and footage records an LCMI landing a French FT17 Light
Tank during operations.
Our
model has been built a waterline subject and comes with
optional parts for either the early pattern or the later
armoured "Normandy Pattern".
The
kit comes with fully illustrated building instructions
and a coloured paint guide.
