Produced by Demag,
there was continous production of this one ton halftrack
between 1939 and 1944 with over 25,000 being built.
Seeing service
in every theatre as a light prime mover for amongst
others the 37mm PaK36 (G118), 5cm PaK38 (G67), 75mm
le IG18 Infantry Howitzer (G98), 15cm (G73) & 21cm
(G38) Nebelwerfers.
This chassis
was also the basis of several modified SPG mounts including
the 20mm Flak (see G178/G179) and the 50mm Pak38 armoured
version (see BG53).
This
model has the Tilt Cover moulded in the down position
but if you prefer a full Tilt Cover buy BG162.
