A total of 201
of these SPG's are recorded as being converted in 1942/3
and consisted of the mounting of the captured Russian
76.2mm gun onto the chassis of the failed "Flamingo"
Flammpanzer (see Premier kit G74),
itself a conversion on the Panzer II Ausf. D (BG95).
A successful
tank hunter it was used mostly in Russia.
As
seen in the photographs, the barrel is reinforced with
a full length metal rod for sturdiness.
