Based on the
combination of a Czech 47mm anti-tank gun and the modified
hull of the Panzer I Ausf B, 202 of these 47mm armed
SPG's entered service in 1940. They subsequently saw
action on all fronts, including North Africa, remaining
in service in Russia until late 1943.
Two types
of were seen and this model represents this later type,
with the extended upper superstructure.
Seventy of
this later type were built in late 1940 with both types
being deployed in the invasions of the Balkans and Russia.
In North Africa however, photographic evidence suggests
that only the later type was deployed.
