Our model depicts
a Mk.IV "Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers" armed with
the 29cm Petard spigot mortar. Like most AVRE's, attatchment
points were fitted for varying tasks. Introduced as
a result of the Dieppe experience,180 were ready for
D-Day with a further 574 later converted. Photographic
evidence shows many without track guards and we have
designed this model in this way. However we also supply
a version with fully covered tracks as kit BB80.
These
vehicles were used to carry facines and these are available
as
ACC25.
