Only three
Sherman hull types were used for Firefly conversions
with the letter C being added to signify the 17pdr.
armament.
These were
the Sherman V (M4A4) (see BB12), Sherman I Hybrid (M4
Hybrid)(see BB11) and the less well known Sherman I(M4),
the subject of this model.
This vehicle
is often captioned wrongly in books often being mistaken
for the Firefly IC (Hybrid) which with the others was
widely used in NW Europe.
