The Morris
"Quad" was in service from 1939 as the British
Army's field gun prime mover. This was one of the first
fully enclosed specially designed gun tractors, superceding
the earlier Guy Quad, and carried six crew members and
ammunition in the rear storage compartment.
A total of
4000 were built before being replaced with the later
Mk.III (3500 built) which differed by having a canvas
covered roof instead of the all metal type of the earlier
model.
The Mk. II
tractors saw service on all fronts along side the Mk.III's
until the end of hostilities.
Our
10 part model has a fully detailed interior, optional
seperate Windscreen panels, Control Levers, Air Filter
Housing, Steering Wheel and Mirrors.
