The Crusader
came from the same development as the A15 Covenanter
and was produced from 1940 to 1943 with 5300 vehicles
delivered. They were withdrawn from front line service
from May 1943 with many being converted for other uses
including AA Tanks. (see BB09)
Our model represents the Mk.III
with the later styled turret and the 6pdr Gun. It also
has the late style of sand shields as they only saw
action in the North African campaign.
