The
Crusader came from the same development as the A15 Covenanter
and was produced from 1940 to 1943 with 5300 vehicles
delivered. They were withdrawn from front line service
from May 1943 with many being converted for other uses
including AA Tanks. (see BB09)
Our
kit gives you the option to build either the Mk.I (with
sub turret) or Mk.II (without sub turret) or either
as the Close Support variant by using the optional 2pdr.
gun barrel supplied.
Our
model represents this tank as it appeared in June 1941
when they first saw action in the N. African campaign
and as such has the early type of sand shields.
