The Standard
Utility was another "Tilly" and like the Austin
version (see BB01) saw service with all Branches of
the Armed Services during WWII.
Introduced
in its military "guise" in 1939 they remained
in service into the 1950's.
Our model
represents the later 1940 version and as it appeared
in NW Europe in '44-'45.
It is a one
piece casting requiring only 2 minutes of preperation
prior to painting!
