Details:
American tank battallions in the ETO started to receive
these superb light tanks in late 1944, making their combat
debut in the Battle of the Bulge. Of the 4415 built, 300
were supplied to the British. They were to remain in service
throughout the Korean war.
After the war, France was the largest recipient (1200)
of M24's and many saw action in Indochina and later with
the Vietnamese with some still in action at the fall of
Saigon in 1975. The M24 was the basis of several major
conversions. See US59 & US60.
Our model accurately reflects the WWII variant with the
correct fittings and stowage and also the T72E1 Steel
Tracks. It has all hull and turret hatches open and additional
optional stowage. |
