This model represents the late production type of the
M3 with the all welded turret plus an optional late
turret to make the M3A1.
A total of
4621 of this type were built, plus 211 with diesel engines
most of which, were supplied to Russia under the Lend
Lease programme.
The M3A1
saw service with the Americans in the Pacific and with
British in Burma, Italy and NW Europe.
This model represents the
mid-production type of the M3 with the all welded turret
plus an optional late turret to make the M3A1.It has
