Small numbers
of the M13, a twin GMC Halftrack, served in Italy, but
when the M45 quad mount became available, all 568 were
retrofitted as M16's.
Produced
from May 1943, an asyounding 2877 were built with only
a few being supplied to other Allies. Of these 70 went
to the British (with some transferred to the Free Poles),
Free French, with some used later Indochina. They continued
in use Post War and saw extensive action in Korea.
