| Imbert Gas
Conversion Kit for Opel Blitz |
|
|
 |
| Details:
Germany started their research for an alternative vehicle
propulsion system in the thirties and the outbreak of
war hastened this development. The outcome was the Wood-Gas
conversion Generator manufactured by Imbert of Cologne.
Generically known as the Imbert Gas conversion, this ingenious
system burned air dried wood or anthracite in a boiler
and produced the poisonous CO gas. Fitted to both petrol
and diesel vehicles, it was claimed that the performance
was only reduced by 20%! However it took 100Kilos of wood
for a 100Km radius and so vehicles thus converted were
retained for use in Germany. This kit includes a modified
GS Body and Imbert conversion so allowing you to convert
any 1/76-1/72 kit. |
